7 Jan 1903      I walked down the creek three miles. My back very sore.

8 Jan 1903      I walked down to Mulgowrie and back.

10 Jan 1903    I got a letter from James  O’Shaughnessy at Cowra. Very hot.

11 Jan 1903    Sunday. Rain much wanted.

12 Jan 1903    Rob and Angus scooping out a hole in Mulgowrie Creek for water.

25 Mar 1903    Rob shod my horse.

26 Mar 1903    Started. Went by Bigga and crossed the river junction. Fish River.

27 Mar 1903    Got to Cowra at 3 o’clock.

28 Mar 1903    Jim and I removed all my things into the shed.

29 Mar 1903    Sunday. Hot and cloudy.

30 Mar 1903    I put my horse into Daly’s paddock.

31 Mar 1903    Fixing up the house.

1 Apr 1903      I got 8 sheets of black iron from P Murray.

2 Apr 1903      People going to Sydney. Easter holidays.

3 Apr 1903      Putting up the door.

4 Apr 1903      Jim bad with dysentery.

6 Apr 1903      I went to Dr Foley’s and got Jim some medicine.

21 Apr 1903    We drove up to Cudgelo. Gavan Campbell not home.

22 Apr 1903    We drove up to Broula. No rabbits there.

23 Apr 1903    Raining all night. 2 ½ inches.

24 Apr 1903    Our traps and tent not arrived from Sydney.

25 Apr 1903    We got our things from Sydney.

26 Apr 1903    Sunday. All raedy to go out to trap rabbits.

27 Apr 1903    Jim took a load of traps to Harry Langfield’s.

28 Apr 1903    We drove up and fixed up our tent.

29 Apr 1903    We made a rabbit yard. Gave the ferrets a trial.

30 Apr 1903    Using the ferrets and traps.

1 May 1903     Jim drove in to Cowra.

2 May 1903     Trapping. Langfield let some trappers in the paddock.

3 May 1903     Sunday. Jim got permission from young Ewan through his paddock.

4 May 1903     We shifted camp over Lachlan to Wallangabba.
